Aegean Airlines

Received From: Gerhard Lang
Print or Image Color: Red, White, Navy
Background / Bag Color: White and Navy
Finally, an incredible bag that gives you something to do: connect-the-dots! The only problem is, the connected dots dots form a drawing of the female reproductive system. This bag is identical to the prior version except the sunset has been debugged a little bit. On the former bag, you can still see part of the sun that set, but it's fixed on this bag.

Identical to other 2004 bag, except this bag was manufactured by GAIA Hellas, as noted in the gusset.

Aegean Airlines

Approximate Vintage: 2006
Received From: Matthias Koch
Print or Image Color: Red, White, Navy
Background / Bag Color: White and Navy
Taking a leaf from Volare, Aegean Airlines does away with the connect-the-dots in favor of ENORMOUS birds.

Aegean Airlines

Approximate Vintage: 2011
Received From: Petr Hosek
Print or Image Color: Navy, Black, White
Background / Bag Color: Blue, Navy, White
Demanding fealty from its member airlines, the Star Alliance brand forces a bag re-design of Aegean. I liked the bag better when it had a splash of red.

Aer Lingus

Approximate Vintage: 1994
Received From: Nancy Iappini

Aeris

Approximate Vintage: 2001
Received From: Matthias Koch
Print or Image Color: Blue, Yellow, Navy
Background / Bag Color: White
Very tasteful bag, something you don't expect from the French, unless you happen to be French, in which case you think everything French is tasteful.

Aeris

Approximate Vintage: 2003
Received From: Cedrick Gauthier-Lacognata
Print or Image Color: Blue, Yellow, Navy
Background / Bag Color: White
At first glance, it appears that the airplane is flying out of an Earth-sized hurricane. However, it is actually getting sucked into the vortex, as Aeris just went out of business. Perhaps the bag should read, "La compangnie qui vous avez aime"

Aeris

Approximate Vintage: 2003
Received From: Frank Mulliri
Print or Image Color: Blue, Yellow, Navy
Background / Bag Color: White
The downsized logo may have presaged the downsized company. This bag is very similar to the other 2003 offering, except this bag cannot stand on its own like the former version.

Aero Airlines

Approximate Vintage: 2004
Received From: Janne Walveranta
Print or Image Color: Navy
Background / Bag Color: White
This airline is a domestic subsidiary of Finnair. The tailfin logo with an 'a' in it looks like an 'f' blowing in the wind if you look long enough (and are drunk).

Aero Cancun

Received From: Robert Masumura
Print or Image Color: Green
Background / Bag Color: White
This defunct bag from is some evil combination of Oasis and Aerocaraibe.

Aero Condor

Approximate Vintage: 2006
Received From: Oliver Conradi
Print or Image Color: Blue, Red
Background / Bag Color: White
"Eres Nuestro Raison de Volar", when printed on this Peruvian bag indicates that Air Sickness should be the reason for flying.

Aero Condor

Approximate Vintage: 2008
Received From: Uwe Hellweg
Print or Image Color: Blue, Red
Background / Bag Color: White
Aero Condor mixes it up a little, getting rid of their trite corporate identity phrase and changing their phone number.

Aero Continente

Received From: Christopher Wren
Print or Image Color: Blue, Black, Yellow
Background / Bag Color: White
Peruvian efficiency experts combine ALL bag text and images onto a single side, possibly cutting printing prices in half.

Aero Continente

Approximate Vintage: 2004
Received From: Uwe Hellweg
Print or Image Color: Blue, Black, Yellow
Background / Bag Color: White
A Telecommunications crisis hits Peru and several of the area codes change (although the phone numbers remain the same). At first glance, I thought that this bag was identical to its predecessor except that this bag was printed by Lucero Import, but as we see it turned out to be more serious than that.

Aero Lloyd

Approximate Vintage: 1997
Received From: Walter Brinker
Print or Image Color: Blue
Background / Bag Color: White
Abstract logo

Aero Lloyd

Approximate Vintage: 1997
Received From: Oliver Conradi
Print or Image Color: Dark Blue
Background / Bag Color: White
A more abstract logo. Got rid of nifty racing stripes.

Aero Lloyd

Approximate Vintage: 2002
Received From: Oliver Conradi
Print or Image Color: Blue, Red, Orange
Background / Bag Color: White
What is that thing on the back supposed to be? A huge thumb? I can't possibly guess what the accompanying text means either. According to Babelfish, it translates to: even if it times which loose will want. Plus, they also have a Boston Racquet Club-like logo that says BSR.

Motion Sickness Maven, Rod Young to the rescue. The translation says, "If you would also like to get rid of something" although it doesn't specify what that something might be.

Aero Lyon

Approximate Vintage: 2000
Received From: Barry Day
Print or Image Color: Magenta and Cyan
Background / Bag Color: Greenish-Cyan
This bag defies description. It has no words, is blue mint color with Cathay Pacific like brush strokes and a purple abstract Asian-Character Kokopelli Witch logo.

Aero Mongolia

Approximate Vintage: 2005
Print or Image Color: Blue
Background / Bag Color: White
One of the nicest eagle heads you'll see on any barf bag, apologies to AeroMexico.

Aero Mongolia

Approximate Vintage: 2012
Received From: Xusheng Chen
Print or Image Color: Purple
Background / Bag Color: Blue, White
Really cool raptor head on this clean Mongolian bag.

Aero Rudolpho

Approximate Vintage: 2009
Received From: Gerhard Lang
Print or Image Color: Black, Red
Background / Bag Color: White, Brown, Red
This whimsical bag has a picture of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer on it and say, "The CHRISTMAS Cargo - Airline", as though it were a "sleigh-sickness" bag.
The bag was generated by noted collector Gerhard Lang and was mailed to other collectors such as myself to wish everyone a nice holiday season.
