Wrong Turn

Approximate Vintage: 2003
Received From: Erika Lee Dignam
Print or Image Color: Black
Background / Bag Color: White
This bag was distributed at a pre-screening for the movie Wrong Turn, a 2003 "horror thriller". The bag parades out the usual tired warning. "Any persons with problems, high blood pressure, pace-makers and nervous conditions should not see this film. Risk of serious injury or health problems may occur. The Management is not responsible for any problems that may occur."

Wushan Travel

Received From: Christian Annyas
Print or Image Color: Green
Background / Bag Color: White
Although I can't really tell what venue these are used in (besides China) I really like the postmark-type wavy lines at the top. Rounded font on main Chinese characters.

Transportation Stud, Y.L. Tan says, it's a sea-sickness bag, since the horizontal string of words under the three rounded-Chinese-characters ("Clean Bag") reads "Wushan County Little Three Gorges Tourism Boat Limited (Group) Company". Hence the wavy lines at the top.

Xiamen Air

Approximate Vintage: 2013
Received From: Xusheng Chen
Print or Image Color: Blue
Background / Bag Color: White
Same logo as always but the design on the lowest part of the bag looks like a tear strip even though it isn't.

Xiamen Air

Approximate Vintage: 2014
Received From: Ed Sluimer
Print or Image Color: Blue
Background / Bag Color: White
Almost identical to the 2013 Xiamen bag except they joined the Skyteam which of course necessitates a new bag to reflect the branding.

Xiamen Air

Approximate Vintage: 2015
Received From: Gerd Clemens
Print or Image Color: Blue
Background / Bag Color: White
Almost identical to the 2013 Xiamen bag except they joined the Skyteam which of course necessitates a new bag to reflect the branding.

Almost identical to the 2014 Xiamen bag except there is no blue bar on the back.

Xiamen Airlines

Approximate Vintage: 2001
Received From: Christian Annyas
Print or Image Color: Blue
Background / Bag Color: White
Yet another Chinese blue on white, bird over moon bag. Is this what Chairman Mao envisioned in the Cultural Revolution? I don't think so.

Xiamen Airlines

Approximate Vintage: 2010
Received From: Rainer Schwartz
Print or Image Color: Blue
Background / Bag Color: White, Blue
At a distance, this bag looks like it's covered in pubic hair, but of course it's just curly line-art clouds. I love the airplane just jetting along the tear strip.

Xin Jiang Airline

Received From: Michael Hall
Print or Image Color: Blue, Red
Background / Bag Color: White
This bag was converted from a CAAC bag to a Xin Jiang Airline bag via a few red stickers.

Xin Jiang Airlines

Approximate Vintage: 1996
Received From: Mary Beth McNamara
Print or Image Color: Blue
Background / Bag Color: White
Like almost every other Chinese bag, it's blue on white.

Xin Jiang Airlines

Approximate Vintage: 1997
Received From: Michael Hall
Print or Image Color: Blue
Background / Bag Color: White
Like almost every other Chinese bag, it's blue on white.

Unlike the 1996 version of this bag, the Chinese text on the back has changed. they've added a few extra characters, but I don't read Chinese so I have no idea what the differences are.

Xinhua Airlines

Approximate Vintage: 2003
Received From: Paul Mundy
Print or Image Color: Blue and White
Background / Bag Color: Blue and White
The first thing I noticee about this 'Oxford Shirt' bag, is that they recommend you open the bag with scissors (or forceps?). I'm not too sure about safety regulations in China, but scissors are not allowed on any USA flights, and even if they were, who would bring them just in case they have to open a barf bag?

XL

Approximate Vintage: 2008
Received From: Denir Camargo
Print or Image Color: Blue
Background / Bag Color: White
I suppose this airline could actually be called "40 Airlines" if you're a Roman Numeral weenie, however XL is the name of a now defunct German carrier.

XL Airways France

Approximate Vintage: 2015
Received From: Janusz Tichoniuk
Print or Image Color: Blue, Black
Background / Bag Color: White
Similar to the previous version of XL only moreso. They added some tear off strip instructions plus added "Airways France" to more fully describe XL.

Y2K

Approximate Vintage: 1999
Received From: Bob Jones
Print or Image Color: Black
Background / Bag Color: Brown
I bought this bag on eBay for $10. This is now the most expensive bag I've ever bought. It's just a brown paper bag with the words "The Official Y2K Barf Bag" stenciled on it. It's cheesy and wasn't worth the cost, but I won't disparage Bob Jones about it, because he didn't post a photo of it and I bid on it sight unseen. Oh well, at it's not like I collect rare coins and bid $20,000 for some coin sight unseen.

Yangon Airways

Received From: Paul Choong
Print or Image Color: Red and Blue
Background / Bag Color: Tan
You just have to love any airline with a winged, stenciled, red elephant. It's reminiscent of operation Dumbo Drop. Don't you just love any word that has 'yang' in it?

Yangon Airways

Approximate Vintage: 2013
Received From: David Shomper
Print or Image Color: Red, Blue, Black
Background / Bag Color: White, Yellow, Green, Red
A very colorful bag from Myanmar. I love how the bag says "You're Safe With Us"! It's kind of like a restaurant whose slogan is "Our food won't make you sick"!

Yelcho

Received From: Christoph Vogel
Print or Image Color: Red
Background / Bag Color: Brown
Yes, this is a plain paper lunch sack. Although it may not be a bona-fide sickbag, this bag was obtained from Yelcho (Belcho?), a Chilean Army ship in Antarctica.

Yemenia

Approximate Vintage: 2000
Received From: Manfred Kleber
Print or Image Color: Red and Blue
Background / Bag Color: White
Nice art deco sperm logo -- probably a throwback to the time when the airline was called "Semenia". The blocky Arabic writing looks something like a mall's floor plan.

Identical to 2009 version except there stars in the folds instead of some weird eyeglasses logo.

Yemenia

Approximate Vintage: 2009
Received From: Jürgen Klein
Print or Image Color: Red and Blue
Background / Bag Color: White

Yeti Airways

Received From: Christopher Wren
Print or Image Color: Green
Background / Bag Color: White
I LOVE the logo which sports a big foot (as well as confusing DNA strands). The bag exhorts you to 'Experience the Shangri-La', which I thought was in China.
